Please check students’ profiles to see their lesson requests & preferences.
🔹The student’s profile can be viewed on the lesson schedule calendar page. Click on the booked lesson.
🔹They may change their preferred material or other lesson preferences at the profile. You’ll get a system email when change their profile info.
🔹Use the screen share during the lesson to view the study material together.
🔹Email the admin ([email protected]) to get the ID and password for the website access.
1️⃣Picture Books / Chapter Books
🔹We use https://www.getepic.com for the picture books and chapter books
🔹Ask the student to read the book and correct their accents and intonations
🔹Ask questions about the text and the pictures
🔹Correct the student’s answers or suggest a better expression if any error is spotted.
🔹Explain the new vocabulary and help the student to make a sentence with the new word.
🔹The books are sorted according to their reading level here. Please follow the list if the student wants to prepare for the lesson in advance. Students can access the chart as well on the website.
2️⃣ Coursebook by Woongjin Compass
🔹 Please ask the student/parents which coursebook they want to use during the lesson.
🔹 The students should purchase a physical copy of the book.
🔹 Please use this document to see the book list and to get the links to the books
3️⃣ News articles for ESL students
🔹We encourage the tutors and the students to use the following websites:
🔹https://breakingnewsenglish.com/ and https://engoo.com/app/daily-news
🔹The articles are sorted by levels.
🔹Ask your students to read ahead and get prepared for the questions following the articles if they have time.
🔹Try to focus on the comprehension questions and discussion questions below the article. Some students hate activities like ‘fill in the blank’ or matching the definition of vocabulary.
🔹Please correct the student’s answers or suggest a better expression if any error is spotted.
🔹Explain the new vocabulary and help the student to make a sentence with the new word.
4️⃣ Writing review class
🔹Ask your students to write an essay, a book summary, or a diary before the class.
🔹Ask students to send the writing to you and you screen share the document during the lesson. This will be easier to correct the errors
🔹Correct the sentence with an error and explain what is wrong and what would be a better sentence.

🔹Your student might be looking for a specific book for the lesson.
🔹A lot of books are available at scribd.com, so please search in the website.
